Memphis Reads Question: Books to Movies, 2011

Many families will end the Christmas holiday weekend with a trip to the movies, and some of the most successful films this year were based on best-selling novels. Movies adapted from book series did quite well (think Harry Potter and Twilight) and readers can look forward to more this month, like the upcoming release of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (based on Stieg Larsson's book), The Descendants, (based on a novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings), and more.
Memphis Reads wants to know:
What was your favorite book-to-movie of 2011?

Okay, don't laugh, but I actually liked the movie, RAMONA AND BEEZUS. It was based on most of the Ramona Quimby books by Beverly Cleary. The movie was (almost) as cute as the books but well done, just the same. I just can't train myself to say RAMONA AND BEEZUS, especially since I grew up with the book, BEEZUS AND RAMONA.
