THE MEMPHIS READS QUESTION
Fear is one of many emotions a reader may experience while reading a novel. Shocking events or evil characters can haunt one's mind years after completing a book. Many readers know that fear isn't limited to the horror genre. As thousands prepare to celebrate Halloween this weekend, Memphis Reads wants to know:
What is the scariest book you've ever read and why? What novel from the past still haunts you?

Comments:
Ironically, the scariest book I ever read is also my favorite book. FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC by V.C. Andrews definitely made an impression on me.
I stopped by your blog today. One book that had me on the edge of my seat was Eye of the Needle. I usually don't read anything intense - I like cozies.
