I think I first saw Ms. Lena Horne on The Cosby Show back in the 1980's. She seemed so sweet and loving in her scenes with Keshia Knight-Pulliam who played "Rudy" on the show. The older I got, the more I realized how very talented Ms. Horne was.

I remember Lena Horne on Sanford and Son when she was working for some type of children's charity. Fred told her about "Little Lamont" but she didn't know that Lamont was a grown man. It's one of my favorite episodes. Also, a young family member of mine likes to watch her sing the ABC song with the Muppets on YouTube.
