Annual Compendium of "Best of" Lists

"With 2008 drawing to a close, book lists are popping up online with increasing frequency. Just as I have done in 2006 & 2007 with online music lists, I will be aggregating 2008 year-end online book lists in this post and updating the list daily as new lists are added.
These year-end lists are one of my favorite things about the end of the year... I am constantly reading, but it seems like the more I read, even more books are published that look interesting. 'Best of 2008' lists often introduce me to wonderful books or remind me of those lost in the shuffle of my hectic reading life."
