Thanks for the recommendation. My first reaction to your post is that many people use "attitude" as a defense mechanism--which reminds me of a book many people were talking about some years ago Weapons of the Weak: Everyday Forms of Peasant Resistance by James Scott. I never read Scott's book, but now I want to read Scott and Truss
