[Awards] Hugo Nominees Announced
Nominees for the Hugo Awards have been announced.
The Hugo Awards recognize the year's best works of science fiction and fantasy in a variety of mediums. Members of the World Science Fiction Society nominate and vote on the winners of the awards. The Hugos began in 1953 and are named in honor of Hugo Gernsback, the founder of Amazing Stories magazine, which helped bring science fiction and fantasy into pop culture.
Members may vote until July 1st, and winners will be announced on August 9th in Denver at the World Science Fiction Convention.
